The Happy Gut Reset gives you the opportunity to “reset” your body and digestive system and feel better than you ever thought you could! It is designed to help you rid your body of toxins, potential allergens, and inflammation without having to take a bunch of pills or supplements, and without running to the bathroom. You’ll get more energy, lose the inflammation (and likely a few pounds!) and even resolve a nagging health issue or two (or many).
The Happy Gut Reset can be done individually as a standalone program or in conjunction with a coaching package. It can also be done as part of a group program. It’s a beautiful compliment to any organization’s wellness program – think “Biggest Loser” but with far greater health benefits and education!
Okay, tell me more about how this "reset" works.
Here’s the deal. Our bodies are designed to detox on their own – they don’t really want interference from us, nor do they want a bunch of pills, supplements, or crazy drinks. But unfortunately, our bodies do get overloaded sometimes because our standard diet happens to be loaded with chemicals. Add in inflammation from eating foods our bodies may not really like, and we’ve got a huge buildup of crud that causes anything from extra weight to joint pain, stiffness, poor digestion, skin issues, and trouble sleeping.
The beauty, though, is that by simply removing those extra chemicals and trigger foods for a couple of weeks, we can give our body time to breathe and heal itself. We don’t need to do anything but eat clean, whole foods for awhile to give our body a break.
But wait, there’s more! After you remove those common trigger foods for two weeks and reintroduce them, you will be able to tell which foods your body likes and which foods it doesn’t. You will become very aware of which foods are directly causing your symptoms, and that’s a HUGE learning tool!
What does the program include?
All Happy Gut Reset programs include the following, whether included as part of 1:1 coaching package, a standalone 1:1 program, or as part of a group.
- A 1:1 kickoff call with me to zero in on your particular challenges and goals for the 28 days. We will customize the Reset to YOU, so that you get maximum results.
- Step-by-step coaching from Christen via scheduled calls and/or shared videos, so that you don’t have to wonder what to do next or if you’re doing it right.
- Access to the full Happy Gut Reset Guide, Recipe Book, shopping lists, tip sheets, and videos to teach you how to read labels, the fastest way to meal prep, which products are my favorites, and more.
- Support from Christen throughout the 28 days via whichever format is utilized by the group (a private Facebook group, email, text messaging, etc), during business hours of 9am to 4pm, Monday-Friday
- Access to my vast personal knowledge and experience regarding gluten free, dairy free, and other special diets, Low Fodmap diets, and a wide range of other digestive and dietary experiences, such as celiac disease, fructose malabsorption, thyroid and hormone disorders, and insulin resistance.
- Experience from my 20+ years experience coaching individuals on a wide variety of topics, plus certification as Health & Life Coach through the Health Coach Institute.

So what exactly do we do during these 28 days?
The Happy Gut Reset is a 28-day program, so it’s structured to progress over 4 weeks:
- Week 1: This is the prep week. During this time we talk about what we’ll be doing in the program, review the Guide Book and Recipe Book, and review other supporting material. You will have time to go grocery shopping and plan your meals for the following two weeks. We’ll also have a 1:1 call to answer any of your questions privately and make sure the Reset is fully customized to you.
- Weeks 2 and 3: These are the “elimination diet” weeks, in which we remove foods that are common triggers for many (such as gluten, dairy, eggs, etc). We also focus on eating “clean,” which means unprocessed foods that don’t contain chemicals. Don’t worry, this is easier than it sounds! You also don’t need anything special – you don’t have to eat only organic, or eat things from a health food store. I will teach you how to do this in a super simple, yet delicious way.
- Week 4: I teach you how to reintroduce foods, one by one, so that you learn which foods are impacting your health. Reintroduction should be done in a very specific way so that you are truly able to learn about each individual trigger food’s impact to you.

Where does the reset Take place?
This is generally a virtual program that can be done from anywhere in the world. We can do it by phone or video chat, whichever you prefer. Groups local to Omaha, Nebraska can be done in person. Whichever method you or the group are most comfortable with works for me.
How much does it cost?
Program costs vary depending on if it’s done in conjunction with a group or with an individual coaching package, or as a standalone 1:1 program. Send me a message and we can chat about it!
The base cost of the program is $299; however, that price is lowered when combined with a coaching package or in a group format.
I'm interested but concerned it'll be too expensive.
Any coach-led program is an investment in your health and provides the system, support, and accountability you need to get on track and stay there. Rather than think, “I can’t afford this,” perhaps reframe your question to, “Can I afford to NOT do this?” Once you add up the costs of healthcare, missed career opportunities, and the intangible costs of self-confidence, healthy relationships, and a life of joy, you can start to see that investing in your future is a no brainer!
The other question you may ask yourself about doing the Happy Gut Reset is “What is it worth to me to learn more about my body and what’s causing the symptoms I’m experiencing?” For example, if you experience joint pain daily, and you could learn in 28 days exactly what causes it, what is that worth to you? What doors would it open for you if you eliminated that pain from your life? Perhaps it would let you be more active with your kids or grand kids, or be able to finally volunteer like you’ve been wanting to, or be more involved with church. Those types of impacts are priceless.
How do I know this will address my needs?
I have a 1:1 kickoff call with everyone who does a Reset, whether in a group or individually. We work together to make sure the Reset will meet your needs, and we customize your food plan to whatever makes sense for you. There’s no one-size-fits-all diet, and nor is there a Reset that will suit every need.
